Pima County Board of Supervisors Set to Finalize Property Tax Rates for 2026–27
Pima County supervisors will hold public hearings Monday to formally adopt the property tax levy that will determine what residents and businesses owe the county when their tax bills arrive this fall. Both resolutions must pass before the county can legally bill and collect taxes for the coming fiscal year.

Item 5 — Tax Levy Resolution (Public Hearing)
Resolution No. 2026-43 would officially set the county's property tax rates for fiscal year 2026–27, translating the budget supervisors approved earlier this year into actual dollar amounts assessed against every taxable property in Pima County. Because the levy resolution is the legal mechanism that puts specific rates on the books, Monday's vote is the moment that determines exactly how much homeowners, landlords, and commercial property owners will pay. This is a public hearing, meaning residents can address the board before the vote is taken.

Item 6 — Tax Collection Resolution (Public Hearing)
Resolution No. 2026-44 authorizes the county to deliver tax statements to property owners and begin the official collection process for 2026 taxes. Without this authorization, the county cannot legally mail bills or accept payments, making it a necessary companion to the levy resolution and a prerequisite to funding nearly all county services — from the Sheriff's Department to public health clinics — in the year ahead. This is also a public hearing, giving residents a second opportunity to comment on the county's tax posture before the board acts.
