Oro Valley Council Certifies Primary Election Results, Enters Closed Session on Personnel Matter

ORO VALLEY — The Oro Valley Town Council voted unanimously Wednesday to certify the results of the July 21, 2026, primary election and then moved into a closed-door executive session to receive legal advice on a personnel matter.

The council approved Resolution R26-37, declaring and adopting the official results of the July 21 primary election, on a 7-0 vote. No discussion preceded the vote.

The council then voted 7-0 to convene an executive session with Town Attorney Steven Zraick, attorneys from Pierce Coleman, and Town Clerk Mike Standish to discuss the town's obligations relating to personnel matters, under Arizona Revised Statutes 38-431.03(A)(3). The council did not return to open session following the executive session and adjourned without further public business. All seven council members were present, with Council Member Josh Nicolson participating virtually.
