An administrative review by a Tucson firm concludes that Sheriff Chris Nanos improperly used his position and county department resources for "political gain" when he suspended a jail commander and political rival three weeks before the 2024 primary election. Federal government sues Arizona over prediction market regulation. Three weeks after Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes indicted online prediction market company Kalshi on 20 criminal counts for allegedly violating state gambling laws, the Trump administration's Commodity Futures Trading Commission sued Arizona, claiming exclusive federal jurisdiction over prediction markets. The CFTC simultaneously filed suits against Connecticut and Illinois; if successful, the federal action could invalidate state gambling laws as applied to federally regulated prediction markets.

Legacy Learning to open Tucson campus for Arizona Schools for the Deaf and Blind students.
