Arizona joins 20-state coalition suing to block Trump's mail ballot executive order. Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes joined a coalition of more than 20 states in a federal lawsuit filed in Massachusetts challenging President Trump's executive order restricting mail ballots, arguing the order violates the Constitution by seizing state authority over elections. The suit — at least the fifth filed against the order — follows similar challenges from the DNC, ACLU, and other voting rights groups. "Not the President," Mayes said. "And Arizona will not allow the federal government to seize control of our elections."

Tucson Democratic Rep. Nancy Gutierrez called the bill "overreach at its worst," arguing the secretary of state is elected specifically to do this job. Both legislative elections committee chairs are election deniers.

Turning Point is backing a slate of far-right candidates for the SRP board and has bragged publicly about its "super chaser" ballot-gathering events.
