All 51 passed with bipartisan support, while 88 previous vetoes had carried GOP-only backing. Notable new laws include the Veterans' Specialty Court Grant Program, a school ban on recreational drones within 200 feet of campus, and an increase to the water supply revolving fund loan cap from $3 million to $20 million.

Federal judge strikes down Trump voter-roll database as illegal. U.S. District Judge Sparkle Sooknanan ruled Monday that the Trump administration violated federal privacy law by repurposing the Department of Homeland Security's SAVE computer program to search state voter rolls for potential noncitizen voters. The 75-page ruling vacated the policy directives enabling the program, finding violations of Social Security data protections and the Privacy Act. The decision puts pressure on the DOJ's pending lawsuits against 30 states — including Arizona — demanding unredacted voter roll data with Social Security numbers, as the 90-day pre-election window approaches.

Kelly and Gallego co-sponsor bill blocking military at polling places. Senate Democrats introduced the Protect Our Polls Act last week, which would require Congressional approval before federal troops could be deployed to election sites. Arizona Sens. Mark Kelly and Ruben Gallego are among the co-sponsors. The Trump administration has declined to rule out military presence at polls ahead of November midterms, and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has not ruled out using National Guard units.

Hobbs vetoes digital purchase disclosure bill. Gov. Hobbs vetoed HB2010, a bipartisan measure that would have required companies selling digital movies, games, and other content to disclose that consumers are purchasing a revocable license — not permanent ownership. Hobbs said the bill's refund provisions were "ambiguous and inconsistent with other states." The bill's sponsor, Rep. Nick Kupper (R-Surprise), said the veto surprised him given the legislation's near-unanimous support and said he will reintroduce it next session.
