Suspect identified in downtown Tucson mass shooting; 10 injured. The suspect in Sunday morning's downtown Tucson mass shooting has been identified as 21-year-old David Leroy French, who faces 19 charges with the possibility of more, according to authorities. Several victims have been released from the hospital while others continue to recover. TPD Chief Monica Prieto praised the emergency response and said officers will maintain an increased downtown presence.

Measles exposure sites identified in Pima County. Pima County health officials identified measles exposure locations in Tucson and Oro Valley after a vaccinated resident was diagnosed with measles following international travel, according to KGUN 9. Residents who may have visited the identified sites are urged to check whether they were exposed.
Homicide investigated near Oracle and Glenn. Tucson Police are investigating a homicide that occurred just after midnight Sunday, July 19, near the intersection of Oracle Road and Glenn Street, according to KOLD News 13.

The race for Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction has become the most expensive such primary in decades, according to Cronkite News.

Lawsuit seeks to block school voucher reform measure from November ballot. The Goldwater Institute filed suit to remove the "Protect Education, Accountability Now Act" from the November ballot, seeking to disqualify tens of thousands of signatures gathered by Save Our Schools Arizona, which submitted more than 420,000 signatures. The initiative would rein in Arizona's universal school voucher program.

Pima County Board of Supervisors approves nearly $4 million in outside agency grants. The board voted 4-1 to approve the grants, with $233,780 directed to nonprofits serving Green Valley, Sahuarita, Amado, and Arivaca communities, according to the Green Valley News.
Arizona AG asks court not to block Proposition 314.
