What the office does
The clerk of the board is appointed by the Board of Supervisors and is its official record keeper. The clerk records all proceedings of the board, makes full entries of its resolutions and decisions on raising money and allowing accounts against the county, records the vote of each member on every divided question, signs the orders and warrants the board issues for the payment of money, records the treasurer's reports and the board's orders levying taxes, and files the accounts and petitions the board acts on. The county code restates the statutory list.
